CORE
Full-Stack Web Apps with React, Node.js and PostgreSQL
You can build a complete web app: a React frontend, a REST API you wrote yourself, and a PostgreSQL database, all deployed and live.
How this course ends
Your app is live and works from end to end. You walk a mentor through how it is built, how data moves through it, and any code you wrote with AI tools.
Overview
Core is where you become a full-stack developer. You build a real web app, with a React frontend, a Node.js and Express backend, and a PostgreSQL database. You learn how the three parts work together, how to store data properly, and how to put the whole app online. At the end, you have a working product with a live link that you can show to anyone.
Modules and topics covered
1Week 1: Modern JavaScript
Every framework you will use is built on this, so it is worth learning well.
2Weeks 2–3: React, From JSX to State
State is where most frontend bugs live. You learn why a component updates, not only which hook to use.
3Week 4: Building the Frontend
This is the first time your screens talk to a backend, a skill many beginners never practise.
4Week 5: A REST API on Node and Express
An API is an agreement between the frontend and the backend. Getting it right early saves you weeks of work later.
5Weeks 6–8: PostgreSQL, Integration and Deployment
This is where the three parts become one real product. Putting an app online is a skill of its own.
